Volcán Azul is a distinguished coffee farm in Costa Rica with a rich history spanning over 200 years. Nestled on the fertile slopes of the Poás and Barva volcanoes in the Alajuela region, the farm benefits from mineral-rich volcanic soils and a cool climate at elevations between 1,500 and 1,700 meters above sea level.
Under the stewardship of Alejo Castro, a fifth-generation coffee producer, Volcán Azul continues its legacy of excellence by cultivating a diverse range of coffee varieties, including Caturra, Geisha, SL28, and Sarchimor, with great results at Costa Rica Cup of Excellence, year by year.
